This website is dedicated to Energy Efficiency in Buildings. That includes new homes, new dwellings in converted buildings and existing dwellings when sold or rented under a new tenancy agreement from 1st October 2008.

Commercial and industrial buildings both new and existing and Energy Audits will be required for transfer of lease or new rentals effective October 2008. Further information can be found by using the buttons on the left.

This service is offered by OnSite Building Control Ltd - Building Control and Energy Consultants and a Government Approved Building Control Body

Currently, commercial buildings -

Anyone intending to sell or rent out any commercial building having a floor area of 2,500 square metres (26,910 sq ft) or more will need to show any prospective purchaser or tenant an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the building.

From 1st October anyone intending to sell or rent out any commercial building having a floor area of 50 square metres or more will need to show any prospective purchaser or tenant an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the building.

Newly constructed buildings will already have an EPC which will be required by building control
